Amazon MP3 Store Finally Arrives in DoubleTwist for Windows [Updates]

Amazon MP3 Store Finally Arrives in DoubleTwist for Windows [Updates]: "

Windows/Mac: doubleTwist, the gadget-friendly media manager that wants to be an iTunes replacement, has added a native Amazon MP3 store to its Windows client. That's roughly two months after it was expected, but it's a welcome option for music buying.

There are a few other new features in the Windows and Mac updates just released, including better playlist syncing and optional iTunes or Windows Media Player playlist importing (as opposed to the all-or-nothing options given before). There's also new support for Google's supposedly upcoming Nexus One phone, though we have to imagine that's more of an icon and device name tweak for standard Android support.

Regardless of doubleTwist's attempts to grab a little Google Phone press, its media manager does a fine job of converting and syncing media to portable devices and sharing it with friends, as we found in our screenshot tour. Enough so that T-Mobile is considering making it a media manager for its smartphones (last paragraph).

DoubleTwist is a free download for Windows or Mac systems.
